Construction Estimator- AECOM Hunt
About The Position
AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Estimator to be based in Indianapolis, IN. This position is expected to begin Summer 2026. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Introduced to the Company estimating systems and processes. Introduced to estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for preparing estimates. Exposed to various processes, project actions and assumptions that may impact estimates. Gathers, calculates and compiles data for use in developing all types of estimates. Performs the routine aspects of estimating assignments. Assists senior specialists in performing various estimating functions as required. Exposed to drawings, specifications, work breakdown structures, charts of accounts, published and internal data used in preparing estimates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook). As well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working for a large general contractor.
- Previous AECOM internship experience
- Experience with estimating software (onscreen take off , ediphi)
