Construction Estimator: Midlevel ASC
About The Position
Adolfson & Peterson Construction is looking for a Construction Estimator: Mid-Senior Level in Bloomington, MN. This role involves taking personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture. The estimator will prepare bids, conceptual cost models, and budgets, performing quantitative analyses of construction documents and project program requirements for assigned projects. They will also provide technical guidance on constructability, schedule, phasing, and staffing, manage subcontractor and supplier relationships, and facilitate bids and presentations. Building and facilitating collaborative team processes among project participants, and coaching, mentoring, and training team members are also key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field required or experience
- Proficient in detailed estimate organization and take-off including being well versed in conceptual estimating/schematic estimating.
- General understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction field.
- Strong familiarity with project schedules and durations for various types of facilities.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office including Excel and familiarity with estimating software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful and lasting relationships.
