About The Position

KBR's National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. This position will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting national security. The role is contingent upon contract award and will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. Requirements

  • 10+ years of construction project estimating and pricing experience
  • Prior experience at a government contractor and/or as a government Cost Analyst or Estimator (IGCE development) developing cost estimates for construction and/or facility maintenance
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition requirements (FAR) and experience responding to requests for certified cost or pricing data and providing associated certifications
  • Demonstrated experience with firm fixed price or hybrid contract types.
  • Ability to identify risks and opportunities relative to the requirements and contract type
  • U.S. Government-issued Top Secret clearance and willingness to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly
  • Willingness and ability to live in a beautiful but austere environment
  • Strong analytical and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently to meet internal and customer-defined deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on U.S. military or other Government agency base or facility operation contracts or proposals
  • Experience managing other Pricing Analysts
  • Project control and scheduling experience
  • A degree in construction management, construction engineering, or a related technical field

Responsibilities

  • Develop cost estimates and price proposals for a variety of design and construction projects, and applicable change orders
  • Ensures estimates and price proposals are timely, accurate and compliant with KBR and customer requirements
  • Evaluates requests for proposals to define response requirements
  • Develops and maintains pricing models
  • Supports customer and subcontractor negotiations
  • Presents analysis, recommendations, estimates and price proposals to KBR leaders and the customer in an organized, impactful, and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with other KBR departments to collect and organize cost information that will be incorporated into estimates and proposals
  • Provides supplemental cost collection and analysis support to the Project Management organization
  • Provides training and management oversight to other Pricing Analysts
