About The Position
Commercial Contracting Corporation (CCC) is an employee-owned construction company seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Technician / Mechanic. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and reliability of construction equipment, including dozers, telehandlers, and aerial lifts. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of construction and jobsite equipment supporting industrial and commercial operations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and committed to high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Requirements
- Experience repairing heavy equipment, construction equipment, industrial machinery, agricultural equipment, or related mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Experience working on aerial equipment, telehandlers, or material-handling equipment
- Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience
- Diesel engine maintenance experience
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Basic personal mechanic tools
- Chauffeur's License or willingness to obtain one
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and operational equipment issues
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled service
- Troubleshoot equipment performance concerns and determine root causes
- Repair and maintain construction and jobsite equipment
- Inspect equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation
- Complete maintenance records and repair documentation
- Support equipment readiness for active construction projects
- Repair and maintain diesel, gasoline, and LP-powered equipment
- Work closely with operations teams to prioritize equipment needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
- Follow manufacturer recommendations and company maintenance standards
- Promote safe work practices and equipment reliability
