About The Position

Commercial Contracting Corporation (CCC) is an employee-owned construction company seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Technician / Mechanic. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and reliability of construction equipment, including dozers, telehandlers, and aerial lifts. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of construction and jobsite equipment supporting industrial and commercial operations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and committed to high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. This position offers hands-on experience with various mechanical systems, hydraulic components, and electrical controls, with opportunities for continuous learning and career advancement within an employee-owned company.

Requirements

  • Experience repairing heavy equipment, construction equipment, industrial machinery, agricultural equipment, or related mechanical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on aerial equipment, telehandlers, or material-handling equipment
  • Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Diesel engine maintenance experience
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Basic personal mechanic tools
  • Chauffeur's License or willingness to obtain one

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and operational equipment issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled service
  • Troubleshoot equipment performance concerns and determine root causes
  • Repair and maintain construction and jobsite equipment
  • Inspect equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation
  • Complete maintenance records and repair documentation
  • Support equipment readiness for active construction projects
  • Repair and maintain diesel, gasoline, and LP-powered equipment
  • Work closely with operations teams to prioritize equipment needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
  • Follow manufacturer recommendations and company maintenance standards
  • Promote safe work practices and equipment reliability
