Construction Engineering Inspector
About The Position
Expanding Michigan firm with a critical role for a Construction Engineering Inspector is hiring in Rochester Hills! This role involves daily communication with project team members, clients, and contractors, reading and interpreting project plans, drawings, and specifications, and performing various inspections. The inspector will report discrepancies to the Project Engineer, follow QA/QC practices, and ensure work compliance with plans and contractor submittals. Responsibilities also include measuring and calculating quantities of work and installed materials, ensuring materials meet specifications and testing requirements, and preparing Daily Inspector's Reports.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Civil Technology required
- 3+ years of construction/inspection experience
- 3+ years of experience in bridge/roadway construction inspection
- Experience working on Michigan construction projects
- Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred
- MDOT certifications preferred
- Experience with Bluebeam, Fieldbook, and Microsoft Office
Responsibilities

- Ensure work is compliant with plans, contractor submittals

- Ensure installed materials meet specifications and testing requirements
- Prepare Daily Inspector’s Reports and review other reports
