About The Position

Consolidated Resources is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and scale operations across our civil construction and industrial services divisions. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, standardizing processes, developing leaders, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably. The Director of Operations will oversee operational performance across multiple projects, teams, and facilities while helping build the systems, structure, and leadership discipline necessary to support long-term growth. This role requires strong field presence, mobility, and the ability to build trust with both internal teams and customers. Requirements

  • 10+ years of Leadership experience in civil construction or related industries
  • 5+ years in an operations leadership role overseeing construction teams or projects
  • Proven ability to scale operations, implement systems, and standardize processes
  • Strong operational and financial acumen
  • Experience managing multi-project construction environments
  • Demonstrated success in a similar leadership role - someone who has done this before
  • Required experience in civil construction and industrial services

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that support company growth and scalability
  • Implement standardized processes and operational systems across divisions
  • Develop visual KPIs to track productivity, safety, and operational performance
  • Develop KPIs in partnership with the Finance & Accounting team to improve visibility into operational and financial performance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and operational consistency
  • Oversee daily operations across multiple construction projects, field teams, and the shop
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Review project bids, estimates, and contracts to ensure operational feasibility
  • Coordinate scheduling, labor planning, equipment allocation, and project execution
  • Maintain a strong field presence with teams and customers, with the mobility to move between job sites, operational locations, and leadership touchpoints as needed
  • Work closely with project managers and field leadership to maintain operational alignment
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, supervisors, and operations staff
  • Oversee 40+ on-site team members across operations and field functions
  • Build strong leadership pipelines and support the development of future leaders
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence
  • Partner with leadership and finance to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
  • Identify operational improvements that increase efficiency and improve margins
  • Analyze operational data to guide decision-making and strategic planning
  • Support business development efforts through operational insight and client relationships
  • Champion a culture of safety across all job sites and field teams
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local construction regulations
  • Implement safety programs, operational training, and workforce development initiatives
  • Serve as a key operational leader responsible for executing company strategy and supporting long-term growth
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to improve performance, strengthen accountability, and scale operations effectively
