About The Position

Peralte-Clark is seeking Construction Engineers at Levels 1, 2, and 3 to join our collaborative team and help deliver infrastructure that moves communities forward. Whether you are beginning your engineering career or have several years of construction engineering experience to bring to the table, this position offers an opportunity to support public works improvements such as roadway, highway, bridge, building, infrastructure, and track right-of-way construction projects. As a Construction Engineer, you will observe construction activities to help ensure compliance with plans, specifications, permits, safety requirements, and applicable regulations. Depending on your experience level, you will review project documents, participate in meetings, coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders, perform or support field measurements and materials testing, and contribute to quality-control activities. You will identify and document field issues, communicate nonconformance concerns, monitor corrective actions, maintain daily records of materials and quantities, evaluate field conditions, support or recommend plan and contract adjustments, prepare or recommend progress payments, and assist with encroachment or grading concerns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Ability to perform field assignments and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively and professionally (both written and verbal) with project team members, contractors, clients, agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Learn, apply, or demonstrate advanced proficiency in standard construction concepts, company policies, and established procedures, depending on experience level.
  • Evaluate field conditions and resolve issues of limited, moderate, or diverse scope.
  • Apply sound judgment in determining appropriate actions within established project requirements and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain complete, accurate, and timely field documentation.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal team members, contractors, clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders.
  • Work with detailed instruction, general direction, or limited day-to-day supervision, depending on the assigned level.
  • Identify nonconformance issues, communicate concerns, and monitor corrective actions.

Nice To Haves

  • EIT certificate is preferred for Level 1.
  • EIT certificate is preferred for Level 2.
