Part-time and Full-time Construction Electrician Faculty (Pool)
About The Position
Anoka Technical College is seeking experienced full-time or part-time electricians to teach the next generation of skilled trades professionals. This role involves teaching hands-on skills, industry best practices, safety standards, and real-world problem-solving techniques using an established curriculum in classroom and lab settings. The position includes mentoring students, providing feedback, assessing abilities, sharing practical jobsite experience, and helping to keep the curriculum current with industry standards. Opportunities for professional development, advisory committee involvement, and employer partnerships are available. No prior teaching experience is required; the college provides support through experienced faculty, mentorship, and professional development programs. Requirements
- Two-year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program.
- Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial.
- One year of work experience within the five years immediately preceding the date of application (waived if two years of successful full-time postsecondary teaching experience in the field within the last five years).
- State of Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License.
- Ability to accept work in the U.S. by the day employment begins.
- Consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check if driving on college/university business.
