About The Position

As a construction document controls specialist, you will manage, organize, and maintain all project documentation throughout the lifecycle of a construction project. You will ensure that project teams have accurate, timely, and accessible information, supporting efficient communication, compliance, and project execution. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to uphold document control standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in document control, construction administration, or project coordination.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience with construction documentation and workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer the project’s document control system, ensuring all documents are properly logged, tracked, and archived.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing project documentation, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
  • Ensure version control and proper distribution of updated documents to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support team members in using document control software and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Generate reports, logs, and dashboards to support project tracking and compliance.
  • Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project standards before distribution.
