About The Position

ProSidian Seeks a Construction Discipline Engineer - Civil - Construction (Time and Materials | Non-Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category 30084) to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials (T&M) requirements. The Engineering Technician IV as a SCA Grade position. Construction Discipline Engineer - Civil - Construction Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services, NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services - Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and The Engineering Technician III performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, performs recurring work independently. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions. This technician performs at this level one or a combination of such typical duties as: a. Constructing components, subunits, or simple models or adapts standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctions; b. Following specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment; c. Conducting various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test equipment and records test data; d. Extracting and compiling a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc. , processing data, identifying errors or inconsistencies, selecting methods of data presentation; e. Assisting in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts; developing information concerning previous operational failures and modifications, and using judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information. #TechnicalCrossCuttingJobs #EnergyTechnology #Jugaad #SavannahRiver #EnvironmentalManagement

Requirements

  • The Construction Discipline Engineer - Civil - Construction shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position
  • Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria
  • All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct
  • The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined
  • Required Qualifications are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Engineering Technician IV position
  • Minimum Education are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Engineering Technician IV position
  • Base Experience/Skills are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Engineering Technician IV position
  • Standard Work Hours are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Engineering Technician IV position
  • Area Security Access/Security Clearance are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Engineering Technician IV position
  • U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
