About The Position

Multi-discipline engineering firm in business for decades is looking for a Civil Engineer – Discipline for their White Plains office! Responsibilities: Design and coordination of work for multi-discipline projects (due diligence/site feasibility studies, site engineering, through regulatory approvals, full permitting for full range of site development projects) Develop site layout and design (site grading and storm drainage, roadway design, water and sewer infrastructure, erosion and sediment control) Prepare hydrology and hydraulic calculations Project administration duties (report writing, gathering information, writing proposals/correspondence, tracking project costs, completing progress reports) Prepare engineer’s opinion of probably cost for designed projects and specifications for public bids Coordinate tasks with other departments (engineering and architectural) Build/maintain client relationships Responsible for delivering projects on-time, on budget, and within quality standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related discipline
  • 12+ years of design experience with a focus on site development projects
  • PE License
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices of related technical areas
  • Knowledge of NYSDEC storm water drainage and SWPPP requirements
  • Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills, Autoturn, Excel, and Photoshop
