About The Position
Outdoor Environments Group is seeking a motivated, hard-working Construction Crew Member to safely perform yard, site landscape construction, landscape installation, and landscape maintenance activities as directed. The work is intended to efficiently and profitably produce high-quality landscapes and high customer satisfaction. The crew member assists the Foreman with daily tasks, supports a team environment, and helps maintain job-site cleanliness and equipment. Work is 40–60 hours per week, weather permitting.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on, construction-related experience is preferred, particularly in hardscape, landscape, and pool installations.
- Experience with landscaping tools and equipment of the trade.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while striving for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Understanding of landscape construction, installation, and maintenance gained through previous experience in the green industry or a related position.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physical field work as directed by a supervisor.
- Dependability and strong work ethic.
- Ability to communicate in English is helpful but not required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating heavy machinery and general mechanical knowledge.
- Plant identification skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape construction work, including planting, mulching, grading and bed preparation, removal and transplanting, timber and boulder retaining walls, sod installation, drainage installation, site development, and other construction tasks as necessary.
- Assist the Foreman with daily tasks as directed to support on-time delivery of contracted work.
- Contribute to attention to detail, job-site cleanliness, and preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Perform physical field and yard work, including loading and unloading vehicles at pickup and delivery.
- Work safely as part of a team to produce high-quality landscapes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
