About The Position

We are seeking a versatile and highly motivated Construction Craft Worker (CCW) to join our heavy civil and commercial construction team. This role is specifically designed for a professional who holds or is looking to finish their requirements to achieve their Red Seal Endorsement (RSE). The Construction Craft Worker is the backbone of the job site, requiring a broad set of skills across multiple disciplines. Whether you are a certified Journeyperson or a senior apprentice in the final stages of your training, you will be expected to work to the Red Seal Occupational Standard (RSOS), ensuring that site preparation, material handling, and structural support tasks are executed with the highest level of safety and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Must be a Journeyperson or a Senior Apprentice currently looking to finish their requirements to achieve their Red Seal Endorsement (RSE).
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, blue-print reading, and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in all Canadian weather conditions, including lifting 25kg+ and working at heights or in trenches.
  • A "jack-of-all-trades" mindset with the ability to pivot between different tasks as site needs evolve.
  • Valid Class 5 license with a clean abstract.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, and First Aid certifications are considered major assets.

Responsibilities

  • Execute site clearing, hoarding installation, and the setup of temporary power and heating. Assist in the installation of utility piping and shoring systems.
  • Assist in the assembly and stripping of formwork. Place and consolidate concrete using vibrators, and assist with basic finishing and curing procedures.
  • Mix mortar, set up scaffolding, and tend to Bricklayers and Stone Masons according to trade-specific safety standards.
  • Perform controlled manual and mechanical demolition. Ensure the safe handling and sorting of materials for recycling or hazardous waste disposal.
  • Safely operate a variety of tools and equipment, including skid steers, forklifts, jackhammers, and compaction equipment.
  • Perform rigging and hoisting duties, providing clear signals to crane operators to ensure the safe movement of materials across the site.
  • Implement traffic control plans and maintain a safe workspace in compliance with provincial OH&S and WHMIS regulations.
  • If certified, supervise and guide junior apprentices. If finishing requirements, work with our Journeypersons to complete your hours in Major Work Activities (MWAs) like utility piping and specialized demolition.
