About The Position
We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Construction Cost Estimator with 5 to 10 years of hands-on construction management experience across schools, hospitals, and federal/public sector projects. In this hybrid role, the employee reports to the Anaheim, California office and local job sites 2–3 days per week. The successful candidate is self-motivated, nimble, responsive, and able to work without direct supervision. The role produces accurate cost estimates from pre-construction through project completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- 5–10 years of professional construction estimating experience for a cost consulting firm, construction management firm, or general contractor.
- Strong expertise with industry-standard estimation software, including Bluebeam Revu or similar tools.
- Must be able to report to the Anaheim, California office and local job sites 2–3 days per week.
Nice To Haves
- Proven track record working on schools (K–12 or higher education), healthcare facilities, and federal government and public sector buildings.
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE).
- Certified Cost Professional (CCP).
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive conceptual, schematic, and final estimates, quantity takeoffs, and budget models for public building projects nationwide.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential project risks early in the design and planning phases.
