About The Position

Burrow Global is seeking to hire an experienced Construction Coordinator for a short-term position beginning in Sept 2026 – Jan 2027 in the Sugarland, TX area. The Construction Coordinator serves as a third-party Owner’s Representative responsible for managing contractors and coordinating construction activities across multiple capital projects. This role acts as the primary interface between construction, operations, and project stakeholders, ensuring safe and efficient execution. The Construction Coordinator will ensure contractors perform in accordance with scope, schedule, and safety expectations, while coordinating closely with Operations to plan and execute line isolations (LOTO) and tie-ins with minimal disruption to ongoing plant activities.

Requirements

  • 7–15+ years of construction experience, preferably in industrial, oil & gas, chemical, or energy environments
  • Proven experience managing contractors on behalf of an owner or EPC
  • Strong experience with brownfield projects, tie-ins, and live facility work
  • Deep understanding of construction execution, sequencing, and field coordination
  • Strong working knowledge of: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, Permit-to-work systems, Tie-ins and shutdown/outage planning
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and construction drawings
  • Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills with both field crews and operations personnel
  • High attention to detail and accountability

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working as an Owner’s Representative or 3rd-party CM
  • OSHA 30 (or equivalent safety certification)
  • Experience with mechanical, piping, I&E, and civil scopes in operating facilities

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage contractors across active capital projects
  • Ensure contractor compliance with scope, specifications, and site requirements
  • Monitor contractor productivity, manpower, and performance
  • Enforce quality standards, and safety expectations
  • Review and validate contractor schedules, work plans, and progress
  • Work directly with Operations to plan and schedule tie-ins, shutdowns, and outages
  • Coordinate line isolations, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and safe work boundaries
  • Ensure all required permits, procedures, and risk assessments are in place
  • Minimize operational disruptions through detailed planning and sequencing
  • Verify system readiness before and after tie-ins
  • Coordinate day-to-day field activities across multiple projects
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts, interferences, and access issues
  • Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, construction, and operations
  • Champion a strong safety culture across all contractors
  • Ensure adherence to all site safety policies, including LOTO, confined space, and hot work
  • Participate in safety meetings, audits, and job hazard analyses (JHAs)
  • Stop work when unsafe conditions are identified
  • Track project progress against schedule and identify potential delays
  • Support development of recovery plans and re-sequencing efforts
  • Review field changes and assist in evaluating impacts to cost and schedule
  • Validate completion of milestones for contractor billing
  • Serve as the primary field communication link between Owner, contractors, and Operations
  • Lead or participate in daily coordination meetings and planning sessions
  • Maintain accurate field reports, logs, and status updates
  • Track RFIs, field changes, punch list items, and closeout activities
