About The Position

Responsible for coordination of new construction and remodeling in accordance with project specifications. Ensures project budget, schedules, safety standards, and quality standards are maintained throughout the process. Coordinates scheduling of personnel, equipment, contractors, and resources and provides communication and reporting to project management and facilities planning regarding progress and conflicts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • Three years of experience supervising construction
  • Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
  • Skilled in: Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
  • Ability to: Interpret blueprints and related symbols
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
  • Regular physical attendance required
  • Valid Florida driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of: Bluebeam construction software
  • Google Sheets or similar application
  • Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements: OSHA 10 or 30 Authorization

Responsibilities

  • Participates in estimating and bidding projects, contract negotiations and change orders.
  • Schedules crews, reviews project timelines and expectations, and supervises work and job quality.
  • Identifies, hires, and monitors labor, contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with the contract documents.
  • Interprets drawings, graphs, maps, blueprints, bid documents, contracts, proposals, and specifications.
  • Creates and coordinates the completion of punch out list for each phase of construction.
  • Serves as journeyman level trades worker for the project and College.
  • Promotes a safe work environment, holds crews accountable to safe work practices.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
