About The Position

In this role, you will provide overall project field engineering support with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities are executed in the correct sequence per the project schedule, safely, complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. Project Overview: The project is a 1.3 GW simple-cycle power generation facility located in Millersport, Ohio, being constructed adjacent to a hyperscale data center campus. The facility includes multiple power generation technologies consisting of Solar Titan 130 gas turbines, Siemens SGT800 gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and associated balance of plant infrastructure. The scope includes major civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, underground utility, control systems, and commissioning works required to support phased energization and turnover of the facility. Construction will be executed through a combination of direct hire and subcontracted labor supported by modularization, pre-assembly, offsite warehousing, and advanced work packaging methodologies.

Requirements

  • This position if for an engineering or construction management graduate, or 2-4 years of related experience
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office suites.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Experience interfacing with executive management and customers.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Able to handle highly confidential information.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • May be needed to work overtime with little or no notice.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
  • Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.
  • Initiates requisitions for field purchases
  • Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
  • Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
  • Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
  • Proactively consider continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
  • Assist the Site Manager and PFE preparing construction storyboards to display the correct installation sequence for different commodities.
