About The Position

The Construction Coordinator supports the Superintendent with day-to-day field coordination on MICU's Idaho semiconductor construction project. This role helps track subcontractor working crews, coordinate site activities, identify field issues, support cleanroom/high-tech construction requirements, and escalate risks to the Superintendent. This is not a general administrative role. The position requires onsite construction coordination experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, MEP, tool install, wet mechanical/process utility, or similar high-tech construction environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2-5+ years of construction coordination or field coordination experience required
  • Direct semiconductor fab, cleanroom, tool installation, MEP, wet mechanical/process utility, or high-tech construction experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, RFIs, submittals, as-builts, and field documentation
  • OSHA 30 required or must be obtained before site start if not already active
  • Valid driver's license, approved background check, and drug screen required where applicable
  • Strong organization, field coordination, communication, and follow-up discipline
  • Ability to coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, QAQC, EHS, material planning, and project leadership
  • Working knowledge of cleanroom protocols, tool install phases, MEP coordination, and semiconductor site requirements
  • Ability to work onsite in PPE, walk active construction areas, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • associate's or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Procore, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, MS Project, Primavera P6, CAD/BIM viewers, or document control tools preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Superintendent in coordinating daily/weekly construction activities, subcontractor working crews, vendors, trades, and tool installation teams.
  • Perform site walks, track field progress, collect photos/updates, document issues, and follow up on action items.
  • Assist with schedule tracking, look-ahead planning, work sequencing, access constraints, material readiness, and field coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate with EHS and QAQC on field observations, safety/quality issues, cleanroom protocols, contamination-control expectations, and corrective actions.
  • Help coordinate material movement, dock/laydown usage, tool move-in/move-out activities, and utility tie-in readiness.
  • Track RFIs, field issues, change impacts, punch items, permits, daily reports, and other site documentation as assigned.
  • Escalate delays, conflicts, safety risks, quality concerns, material shortages, and subcontractor performance issues to the Superintendent.
  • Support compliance with site safety, PPE, environmental, cleanliness, and client requirements.
