Functions in our group include safety, project field management, construction management, quality control, start up and decommissioning and field engineering. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Office Engineer specializing in Water/Wastewater Infrastructure to provide technical support to our staff of Construction Coordinators in the field. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, along with a proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects within this sector.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques specific to water and wastewater systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or Engineering In Training License (EIT) Certificate.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or CCM are a plus.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to the Construction Coordinator (CC) in project tasks, such as: Data gathering for project correspondence, claims, change orders, etc.
  • Participation in meetings and minutes preparation and/or revision (if needed).
  • Get deeply prepared and knowledgeable of the project scope, critical activities, potential issues, in order to represent the Construction Coordinator in meetings when necessary.
  • Be Accountable and OWN your own project.
  • Conduct site visits in coordination with the CC to monitor ongoing work, support inspection oversight, and provide a short summary of site visit findings.
  • Follow up and quality check on Weekly Progress Reports.
  • Develop and update project One-Pagers (coordinate quality check w/ CC)
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for Change Orders and project updates
  • Review and track compliance logs (Buy American, AIS, BABA)
  • Monitor project test results logs (rebar, concrete, compaction, water pressure, disinfection, infiltration/exfiltration, etc.)
  • Perform quality control checks of inspection documentation and records in coordination with Document Control
  • Assist with project schedule review and tracking in coordinaion with Inspection to validate data.
