About The Position

Facilities Development and Management, Capital Planning Services, seeks a Construction Contracts Manager to provide centralized expertise, compliance oversight, contract administration support, and training for construction-related procurement and contracting activities. This position will be located at the Tempe campus.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license (minimum of Class D) upon employment and maintain throughout employment.
Post-offer of employment, selected candidate must possess an acceptable driving record which is 5 or fewer points in the most recent 39-month period from date of hire.

Responsibilities

Construction contract development and administration for Design Professional, CM@Risk, Design Build, and Job Order Contracting delivery methods.
Reviews current contracts to ensure department and contractor adherence with progressive fee and contract requirements.
Assists with the development and delivery of in-house training to promote participation and understanding of the contract process.
Reviews contract templates to ensure compliance with Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR), federal, state and university policies and clause standardization.
Coordination with legal, procurement, and project teams.
Audit preparation and compliance support.
Contract performance monitoring and documentation management.
Participates in the Request for Quotation development process.
Prepares reports, correspondence, and documents as needed.
Clearly communicate to perform essential functions of the job.
