About The Position

Facilities Development and Management, Capital Planning Services, seeks a Construction Contracts Manager to provide centralized expertise, compliance oversight, contract administration support, and training for construction-related procurement and contracting activities. This position will be located at the Tempe campus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license (minimum of Class D) upon employment and maintain throughout employment.
  • Selected candidate must possess an acceptable driving record which is 5 or fewer points in the most recent 39-month period from date of hire.
  • Employee must possess a valid US Driver’s license of the appropriate class and required endorsements throughout employment.

Responsibilities

  • Construction contract development and administration for Design Professional, CM@Risk, Design Build, and Job Order Contracting delivery methods.
  • Reviews current contracts to ensure department and contractor adherence with progressive fee and contract requirements.
  • Assists with the development and delivery of in-house training to promote participation and understanding of the contract process.
  • Reviews contract templates to ensure compliance with Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR), federal, state and university policies and clause standardization.
  • Coordination with legal, procurement, and project teams.
  • Audit preparation and compliance support.
  • Contract performance monitoring and documentation management.
  • Participates in the Request for Quotation development process.
  • Prepares reports, correspondence, and documents as needed.
  • Clearly communicate to perform essential functions of the job.
