About The Position

Exponent is seeking a Construction Consulting Associate for its Construction Consulting Practice in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves working within a team on projects related to construction project management, program management, construction claims and contract dispute resolution, litigation services, and other construction consulting services. The associate will be responsible for developing and analyzing project schedules, planning and analyzing project costs, tracking project scope changes and risks, reviewing project documents, managing document control, and preparing status reports. The role also includes supporting project leads and clients with their requests.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, Architecture or related discipline plus 1 - 5 years of industry experience (internships included) or M.S. plus 0 - 5 years of industry experience (internships included)
  • Ability to work within project teams with a strong desire to contribute
  • Ability to interact effectively with both internal and external clients
  • Proactive and self-driven to navigate complexities and resolve hurdles
  • Close attention to detail, thorough in execution of tasks, and timely in task completions
  • Strong analytical thinking and data management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of common construction related software including Primavera and Microsoft office tools
  • Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship and processing required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degrees, Registration and Certifications are preferred
  • Experience in contract dispute resolution and construction claims, litigation services and construction consulting services is a plus, but not necessary
