About The Position

SERVPRO’s Commercial Reconstruction Division is seeking an experienced Commercial Reconstruction Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day field operations of commercial reconstruction projects. The Superintendent manages onsite construction activities, coordinates subcontractors and trades, maintains project schedules, ensures quality workmanship, and helps ensure projects are completed safely and according to approved plans and specifications. As the primary field leader on assigned projects, the Superintendent works closely with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments. The role calls for a hands-on, organized, dependable, and detail-oriented leader who can coordinate multiple trades, make onsite decisions, anticipate problems, and hold subcontractors and field personnel accountable while maintaining strong communication with project leadership. The position is full-time and reports to Keith Bailey. Travel to various commercial project sites may be required.

Requirements

Previous experience in commercial construction or reconstruction.
Demonstrated experience supervising construction crews and subcontractors.
Strong understanding of commercial building practices and construction sequencing.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and applicable building codes.
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple trades and project deadlines.
Proficiency with basic computer applications and project documentation.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to travel to various commercial project sites as needed.

Nice To Haves

Five or more years of commercial construction experience.
Previous experience as a Construction Superintendent or Field Supervisor.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Experience managing commercial renovation or reconstruction projects.
Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and specialty trades.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily onsite operations for commercial reconstruction projects.
Coordinate and direct subcontractors, tradespeople, and construction crews.
Ensure work follows approved scopes, plans, specifications, and project schedules.
Monitor job progress and adjust daily activities to maintain project timelines.
Coordinate delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies.
Identify scheduling conflicts, material delays, and jobsite challenges.
Maintain an organized, clean, and professional jobsite and conduct regular site inspections.
Schedule subcontractors and specialty trades, and communicate project expectations, schedules, and scope requirements.
Monitor subcontractor performance, workmanship, productivity, safety procedures, insurance, and compliance documentation.
Verify completed work before progression to the next phase and coordinate corrections for deficiencies.
Ensure work meets company quality standards and applicable building codes; conduct quality-control inspections and address workmanship concerns.
Coordinate punch-list completion, final walkthroughs, project turnover, and closeout documentation.
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements, conduct safety inspections, address unsafe conditions, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
Coordinate site access, security, and jobsite logistics, and maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites.
Communicate project progress, delays, labor needs, jobsite concerns, material needs, scope changes, and unforeseen conditions to the Commercial Project Manager and project leadership.
Provide regular updates, photos, and documentation of completed work.
Collaborate with the reconstruction office team, estimators, accounting, and other departments.
Maintain accurate daily jobsite logs and project documentation.
