About The Position

This position is responsible for providing quality customer service to clients by performing interim and final cleaning of residential and commercial building(s) in which they are assigned to work using industry standard methods and equipment. The role involves detailed cleaning of various areas including restrooms, kitchenettes, rooms, floors, walls, furniture, equipment, windows, and glass. It also includes trash removal and reporting any supply or equipment needs or issues with broken items to the head supervisor. The supervisor will lead and own assigned projects, ensuring the team completes tasks effectively. While this specific role has no direct supervisory responsibilities over other employees, it requires project leadership and task management.

Requirements

  • Valid Ohio Drivers' License is preferred but not required
  • At least one year of experience in the janitorial or related field of work is preferred but not required
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including eye, face, foot, hand, and head as required by the particular task or job assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and removes dust and debris from sinks, cabinets, tubs, showers, walls, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, and other surfaces in restrooms. Polishes metalwork.
  • Cleans and removes dust and debris from sinks, countertops, cabinets, tables, floors, chairs, and appliances in kitchenettes/break rooms. Polishes all metalwork.
  • Cleans and removes dust and debris from all interior areas including lobbies, closets, washrooms, utility rooms, garages, hallways, patios, and storage areas.
  • Sweeps, mops, and/or vacuums facility floors using equipment such as brooms, mops, and vacuum cleaners. Removes dust and debris using appropriate tools such as scrubbing, steam cleaning, shampooing, waxing, and polishing.
  • Removes dust and debris from all interior surfaces including walls, ceilings, trim, doors, door frames, and windows. Dusts, cleans, and/or polishes furniture such as desks, shelves, bookcases, partitions. Upholstered furniture may require vacuuming.
  • Cleans and removes all dust and smudges from interior and exterior windows, mirrors, and glass.
  • Removes any and all trash, dirt, and debris from the interior of the unit and disposes of it in the proper area. Removes and disposes of all packing materials and temporary labels.
  • Notifies appropriate personnel as supplies and equipment are needed for cleaning duties.
  • Reports any problems with broken or damaged items to head supervisor.
  • Leads and owns assigned projects and makes sure the team gets tasks done.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
