About The Position

Procon is seeking a Construction Administrator to provide professional construction management and construction administration services in support of a healthcare construction project in Philadelphia, PA. This role will support projects throughout planning, design review, construction, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Sciences, or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant construction experience demonstrating the ability to perform the required duties.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction management, construction administration, field inspection, owner's representation, or a related role.
  • Experience supporting commercial, institutional, healthcare, federal, or other complex facility construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience performing field inspections, documenting construction activities, and identifying deficiencies or non-conforming work.
  • Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and other contractor documentation.
  • Working knowledge of construction methods, building codes, permitting requirements, and contractor/subcontractor operations.
  • Understanding of QA/QC principles, construction scheduling, project controls, and assessment of work-in-place.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, construction management software, and project management tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous VA or federal healthcare construction experience preferred.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support construction administration activities throughout project execution, including review of drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, proposed changes, and other construction documents.
  • Perform daily site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and contractor compliance with contract requirements.
  • Identify and document deficiencies, non-conforming work, corrective actions, and overall construction progress.
  • Assist with design and constructability reviews, issue tracking, change management, and change order evaluations.
  • Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays, risks, and mitigation measures.
  • Support project cost management, including budget tracking, cost estimates, and review of contractor pay applications against completed work.
  • Maintain accurate project records, activity logs, correspondence, reports, and schedule documentation.
  • Participate in construction progress and coordination meetings with VA personnel, contractors, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Support quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), testing, commissioning, and corrective action activities.
  • Assist with owner-furnished equipment, project closeout, turnover, furniture moves, and operational readiness activities as required.
