Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with construction administration, including change orders, pay applications, shop drawing review, and project closeout.
  • Experience with municipal engineering projects, including bid documentation, specifications, and cost estimating.
  • Experience performing site observations and inspections, and preparing field reports.
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents, plans, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of utility design and site civil design concepts.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and grant funding processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and constructability issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.

  • Knowledge of or be willing to learn construction administration for municipal and site civil projects, including the change order process, contractor applications for payment, and project closeout procedures.
  • Review and approval of shop drawings, and evaluation of product and material substitutions for compliance with the contract documents.
