About The Position

The Engineering Intern supports the Console Engineering and Service teams with day‑to-day operational needs, including troubleshooting, repair, testing, and continuous improvement of the GENOSYL DS medical device. This role is hands‑on and plays a key part in ensuring reliable console performance for internal teams and field operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily technical support to the Service team, including console troubleshooting, repair, and evaluation.
  • Perform Engineering/R&D console rework to maintain hardware availability for engineering and service operations.
  • Assist in root‑cause analysis of field‑returned devices and support corrective action activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, findings, and resolutions.
  • Execute testing protocols and procedures to support evaluation of software, firmware, and device operation.
  • Compile testing data, analyze results, and prepare summaries or presentations for engineering reviews.
  • Design and develop forms, checklists, and documentation for capturing testing and evaluation data.
  • Support the creation and revision of service‑related documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with engineering and service teams to improve existing repair and testing workflows.
  • Participate in the development, choice, and validation of tools, fixtures, and equipment used in service and manufacturing.
  • Analyze existing service and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements and validating their effectiveness.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
