The Connectivity Engineer will be responsible for project planning and control, including creating, maintaining, and reporting on site project and program scope, schedules, and milestones. This role involves working closely with the site project management team throughout the project lifecycle, from plan creation to closeout. The engineer will also focus on identifying efficiencies in schedule and budget, documenting data points for field coordination, and supporting the development of project management best practices. Forecasting and budget efforts, as well as sharing project status with upstream and downstream partners, are key aspects of the role. The position requires establishing and tracking milestones for equipment purchase, assisting with contractor selection for structured cabling, and reporting progress and risks to stakeholders. Workflow management with installation partners, including pre-project planning and design delivery verification, is essential. The role also involves vendor field management for all connectivity activities, ensuring adherence to safety obligations and quality standards through physical inspections and validation of vendor work. The Technical Field Lead will be responsible for industry and Meta standards, product evaluation, design, and installation methods, owning the Request for Information process. Technical coordination includes developing solutions for in-field scope gaps and partnering with design and engineering teams for digital support. Communication and cross-functional team engagement with construction, logistics, vendors, and suppliers are crucial for ensuring deliverables and a smooth flow of materials. A strong emphasis on safety, fostering a 'safety first' environment, and promoting open communication are paramount.
