Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience providing legislative affairs support to government agencies
  • Experience with management of congressionally mandated reports
  • Experience orchestrating or coordinating congressional engagements, including preparing senior leaders and briefers, and synchronizing talking points and messaging
  • Knowledge of Congressional actions staffing processes, laws, regulations, and directives and their application to assist in the formulation of official response to Congress
  • Ability to perform the full range of Congressional liaison work, including controlling, analyzing, researching, and formulation of official responses to written and telephonic requests from Members of Congress and staffs, and Congressional Committees
  • Ability to track reporting requirements and provide feedback to the staff until the requirement is satisfied
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with formulating responses and management of congressionally mandated reports
  • Experience as a staff officer
  • Ability to monitor Congressional Hearings schedules with regard to Army, DoD Witnesses, and read, review, and analyze a variety of legislative reference and information materials, such as Congressional Record, Senate and House publications, web-based resources, or periodicals, to identify items of importance as they pertain to Army programs and objectives
  • Master’s degree in Public Policy
