About The Position
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) is seeking temporary contract staff to shelve books and materials in the Library during the NSDAR's annual convention. This is a temporary assignment for one week only.
Requirements
- Proficiency in basic organization skills and filing rules (i.e. alphabetizing, etc.).
- Ability to read book titles and other materials to file them accurately, and in the appropriate location.
- Ability to interact professionally with members and visitors attending the convention.
- Individuals under the age of 18 MUST obtain proper work permits and adhere to strict scheduling requirements.
Responsibilities
- Shelve books and materials in the Library.
- Reach, lift, and carry books of various weights to and from tables, bookshelves, and carts.
- Bend, move about quickly, and stand or sit for long periods of time.
- Read book titles and other materials to file them accurately and in the appropriate location.
- Interact professionally with members and visitors attending the convention.
