Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year experience in conformal coating, staking, or encapsulation of electronic assemblies.
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 requirements.
Ability to use hand tools (e.g., syringes, brushes), UV inspection lamps, and masking materials effectively.
Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work under magnification.
Able to read and follow written work instructions and process documents in English.

Nice To Haves

Experience in aerospace, defense, or medical electronics manufacturing.
Certification in IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001.
Experience operating automated conformal coating systems.

Responsibilities

Preparing and setting up coating equipment according to specifications.
Applying conformal coatings to electronic components, ensuring uniform coverage and adherence to quality standards.
Applying conformal coating materials to printed circuit board assemblies using automated and/or manual methods.
Performing underfill, staking and encapsulation of components using epoxies, silicones, or other approved materials.
Following proper masking and demasking procedures to protect keep-out areas during coating processes.
Setting up, operating, and maintaining coating equipment, including programming basic dispense patterns.
Inspecting coated assemblies for coverage, thickness, and defects using UV light, microscopes, and thickness gauges.
Maintaining cleanliness and proper functioning of workstations and tools.
