About The Position

Leidos' Defense Systems Electronic Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Weekend Shift Conformal Coating Lab Manager to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of certified technicians who complete conformal coating on Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA's). This includes managing manual processes and automated dispense equipment. The role involves day-to-day management of weekend shift PCBA conformal coating operations, and potentially managing weekend work in the PCBA lab including press fit, selective solder, and other PCBA processes. The position requires communication with project teams and production control regarding schedule and cost, providing employee feedback, handling disciplinary matters, reviewing and approving time sheets, enforcing company policies, and engaging with peers to share best practices. Maintaining 5S best practices in the lab is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or a Master’s with 2-6 years of prior relevant work experience. In lieu of a degree, a High School diploma/GED with 8 years of experience will be considered.
  • Strong experience working with teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple objectives over similar time periods.
  • Knowledge of PCBA conformal coating processes.
  • MES (Solumina or Aegis) Build Tracking experience.
  • Basic computer skills (retrieving manufacturing documentation, updating system, email, Excel spreadsheets).
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities
