About The Position

Emerald Technologies is hiring a Conformal Coat Operator for its Saline, Michigan team. The role assists with applying protective coatings to printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies. The operator learns and performs conformal coating processes under close supervision while supporting quality, safety, and process compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow established processes and standards, including IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.

Nice To Haves

• 0–1 year of experience in electronics manufacturing or a similar environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare PCBs and assemblies for coating, including masking, cleaning, and fixture setup.
• Operate basic coating equipment under direction, including manual spray, dip, or automated systems.
• Assist with mixing and handling coating materials according to instructions.
• Perform visual inspections for coating coverage and defects using UV lighting.
• Maintain accurate production and process records.
• Follow safety, ESD, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
• Report defects, irregularities, or equipment malfunctions to a supervisor.
