Join Fish’s team in our fast-paced Risk and Compliance Department as a Conflicts Attorney . How Will You Make a Difference? Maintain proficient level of knowledge of and advise on ethical requirements across relevant jurisdictions, including the ABA model rules, Title 37 C.F.R., and other relevant legal ethics issues. Provide research, analysis, and recommendations to ensure the firm’s compliance. Analyze conflict of interest reports, identify and resolve potential conflicts of interest. Work and communicate directly with the firm’s attorneys and their assistants to resolve potential conflicts issues. Research lateral candidate issues, including former government employee requirements and state adoption of ABA Model Rules – and draft appropriate waivers or notices, and declarations. Manage Intake Committee meetings and support committee members with business research and other assistance as needed. Train Conflicts staff on identifying and resolving complex ethical and subject matter conflicts in connection with new business and lateral hire reviews. Advise Conflicts staff regarding business and ethical conflict of interest issues, including the creation or modification of ethical walls. Assist attorneys, paralegals, assistants and operations staff with understanding the firm’s new business and lateral review policies and procedures. Assist with ongoing maintenance of conflicts database information to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Work with department leadership to document and improve current processes and procedures.
