About The Position

This role is for a Configurator Developer Engineer specializing in Oracle CPQ. The engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying configuration logic, rules, and dependencies within Oracle CPQ to support complex motor and system configurations. This position requires collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, and Sales Operations to translate product structures and technical requirements into system rules. The engineer will also maintain and enhance configurator libraries, attributes, and documentation, and partner with IT and ERP teams for integration. Troubleshooting configuration issues, supporting new product introductions, and participating in continuous improvement efforts are key aspects of the role. Training and guidance to commercial engineers and sales teams may also be provided.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Requires understanding of basic context and practical knowledge of technical and business environment as well as potential and upcoming technical advances within area of specialization, typically obtained through advanced education and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy configuration logic, rules, and dependencies within Oracle CPQ to support complex motor and system configurations.

  • Maintain and enhance configurator libraries, attributes, and documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy across product lines.
  • Partner with IT and ERP teams to integrate configuration data into quoting and order management systems.
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide root cause analysis for system errors or rule conflicts.
  • Support new product introductions (NPIs) by building configuration models aligned with engineering specifications and commercial policies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to streamline the quoting and configuration process for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide training or guidance to commercial engineers and sales teams as needed.
