The Configuration Management (CM) intern supports the engineering and operations teams by ensuring that product data (item number, description, and attributes), and technical documentation are organized, tracked, and consistent throughout the product lifecycle. Role Overview: Assist in maintaining and updating parts, technical documentation, drawings, and specifications within PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and ERP system. This involves the following: Change Management Support: Participate in the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process by reviewing change requests for accuracy and completeness before routing for approval. Data Integrity: Perform regular audits of Bill of Materials (BOMs) to identify and resolve discrepancies between design data and manufacturing records Process Automation: Support the development of scripts or tools (often using Python, PowerBI, PowerAutomate) to automate repetitive data entry tasks and reporting Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure configuration standards are met across the organization.
