About The Position

Lentech is seeking a Configuration Manager to provide Configuration Management support to the Operations and Sustainment organization. This role will specifically support the Configuration/Change Engineering Review Board (CERB) and lower-level Configuration Management Control Boards (CCBs). The Configuration Manager will serve as an advisor to the CERB Chair, facilitating the management of software and hardware Configuration Items (CIs) and participating in the creation, update, and review of Configuration Management (CM) Plans and other associated documents. The position involves implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures, and assisting in maturing the Y33 request for change (RFC) processes. The role is responsible for the CM of developmental and operational systems, working with teams to create and maintain configuration baselines and using or recommending automated CM tools. The Configuration Manager will develop or modify CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to system complexity and scope, and implement CM discipline throughout the entire system life cycle, including change control and configuration audits.

Requirements

  • Active and current TS.SCI w FSP through MD
  • Eight (8) years’ experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional CM experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • A Master’s degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, thereby reducing the total years of experience to six (6).
  • If assigned to a developmental program, one (1) year of experience using a source code control system for a developmental program of similar scope and complexity is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Configuration Management support to Operations and Sustainment organization, specifically in support of the Configuration/Change Engineering Review Board (CERB) and lower-level Configuration Management Control Boards (CCBs)
  • Assist the CERB Chair in providing comprehensive quality assurance and configuration management for all HPC Systems
  • Serve as an advisor to (or non-voting member)
  • Facilitate the management of software and hardware Configuration Items (CIs)
  • Participate in the creation, update, and/review of Configuration Management (CM) Plans, and other associated documents.
  • Implement hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures
  • Assist in maturing the Y33 request for change (RFC) processes across the CERB and CCBs
  • Responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems.
  • Works on developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) supporting developmental and operational systems.
  • Uses or recommends automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures.
  • Develops or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system.
  • Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life.
  • Perform change control and configuration audits.
