About The Position

SBG Technology Solutions, Inc. The Configuration Management (CM) Specialist will draft, implement, endorse, and promulgate leadership's direction and vision regarding Configuration Management (CM). This role ensures system changes are properly identified, documented, controlled, and audited, minimizing risks and maximizing efficiency. The specialist will develop and manage Division-level Configuration Management Plans (CMP), support the development of and conduct CM training, and provide program-level coordination and collaboration to integrate Division-level CMPs. They will also support and facilitate government-led Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and Configuration Change Control Boards (CCB), develop technical baseline products and change tracking artifacts, and organize and document system configurations. Additionally, the CM Specialist will assist the Chief Engineer with planning and conducting Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCA/PCA) and maintain the Program Technical Baseline in document repositories. Other duties include providing ad hoc CM guidance, supporting additional program or organizational initiatives, and contributing to proposal efforts related to CM. Individuals working for SBG Technology Solutions, Inc, a DSS, Inc. will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53, and must undergo specific FedRAMP training. Advanced training may be required for high-risk departments or for individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Demonstrated capability in defining, documenting, and instantiating the configuration management process for programs and projects, including recommending and implementing military standards and CM best practices
  • Knowledge and experience in executing change control processes and facilitating engineering review and configuration control boards
  • Knowledge of EIA-649-1 and MIL-HDBK-61
  • Knowledge of DoD-5010.12-M and DoD-5015.02-STD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interface with customers, government personnel, and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • 5 years of relevant experience with Configuration Management (CM), with demonstrated high proficiency and familiarity with mature CM practices and procedures
  • 4+ years of experience working in a highly competitive, multi-contractor program environment
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to pass a Federal background check
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment

Nice To Haves

  • Active Top Secret security clearance
  • Familiarity with JIRA and/or Confluence
  • 4+ years of experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related technical field
  • Configuration Manager certification, such as the Certified International Configuration Manager (CICM) or equivalent industry-recognized credential

  • Contribute to proposal efforts, white papers, or capability documentation related to CM as requested
