Configuration Management / Release Engineer for Missile Defense System
About The Position
CFD Research is seeking a Configuration Management / Release Engineer to safeguard the integrity of our software baselines. This role will lead release management operations, manage codebase branches, monitor build repositories, and oversee the formal delivery process to ensure consistent, secure deployment environments. CFD Research has delivered innovative technology solutions within the Aerospace & Defense, Biomedical & Life Sciences, Intelligence & Sensing, and Energy & Materials industries since 1987. Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Department of Defense Secret clearance (must maintain throughout contract performance)
- 10+ years of dedicated experience supporting software baselines, code repository structures, and release management
- Advanced knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git), build tools, and formal software configuration procedures for complex defense programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field

- In-depth understanding of software sustainment processes and handling of classified code deliveries
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience working in AS9100 or CMMI-appraised environments
