About The Position

The Configuration Analyst I is responsible for updating logs, databases, and catalogues, as well as maintaining files of engineering drawings, project reports, specifications, product proposals, and documentation. This role involves preparing process and status reports, assigning and monitoring document numbers, and reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness. It is an entry-level position suitable for individuals with a basic understanding of configuration management tools and software, and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will update and maintain logs, databases, and catalogues while ensuring the organization and accuracy of files containing engineering drawings, project reports, specifications, product proposals, and documentation. You will prepare process and status reports, assign and monitor document numbers, and review documents for accuracy and completeness. Following detailed instructions, you will perform tasks under supervision and ensure compliance with configuration management concepts, document control, and version control practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
  • Typically entry-level 0 - 2 years of experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of configuration management tools and software.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Familiarity with configuration management concepts, document control, and version control practices.
  • Capable of following detailed instructions.
  • Understanding of basic engineering and technical terminology.
  • Ability to perform tasks under supervision.
