It includes processing requests for nomenclature and Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPINs), and tracking these requests through government agencies. The position supports configuration control functions, including managing ACSNs, ECPs, CCPs, RFDs/RFWs, DRs, airworthiness directive notes, and service introductions. It also involves reviewing change proposals for impacts, making recommendations, assisting in CCB and business management board meetings, maintaining change proposal files, and providing historical information. Additional duties include preparing and submitting product data, supporting CCB Charter development, planning/implementing FCAs and PCAs, reviewing OEM proposals and reports, maintaining configuration status accounting databases, assisting data users with DIDs and data management forms (like CDRL), organizing and issuing data calls, understanding distribution statements and FAR/DFARS data rights clauses, monitoring the delivery and approval of contract technical data, assisting in data reviews (integrating inputs, preparing documentation, participating in reviews, drafting data, reviewing minutes, and tracking action items), preparing and maintaining CDRLs for RFPs/contracts, supporting the DR function (JDRS), and providing engineering data management support (preparing/updating plans, maintaining activity files, and supporting conferences/reviews). The role requires applying knowledge of configuration management fundamentals and deficiency reporting to maintain consistency of a product's attributes throughout its life.
