About The Position

Entarian is seeking an experienced Configuration & Data Management Specialist responsible for ensuring technical, programmatic, and documentation assets are properly identified, controlled, tracked, and maintained throughout the system life-cycle. This role supports engineering, program management, and quality teams by establishing and enforcing configuration control processes, maintaining accurate product baselines, and managing data repositories to ensure compliance with organizational and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in large-scale technical environments involving space systems, ground infrastructure, mission operations, communications networks, or enterprise IT capabilities.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or related technical discipline. (Equivalent experience may be considered.)
  • Minimum five (5) years of Software Engineering experience supporting Configuration Management or Data Management activities in engineering or technical environments
  • Knowledge of configuration control processes, baseline management, and document versioning
  • Familiarity with CM and DM standards and best practices (MIL-STD, EIA-649, ISO, or ANSI standards)
  • Experience with document management and configuration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Share-Point, Windchill, PTC, PLM systems)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across large volumes of data
  • Good technical communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power-Point, Excel, Project, and Outlook.

  • Ability to travel approximately 25% to support customer locations, mission partner engagements, and operational activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures
  • Establish and control product baselines (functional, allocated, and product) throughout the program life-cycle
  • Manage configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and audit processes
  • Process and track Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and deviations/waivers
  • Maintain configuration management records, version histories, and release documentation
  • Conduct Configuration Audits (FCAs/PCAs) to verify system compliance with approved requirements and documentation
  • Ensure accurate and timely distribution of controlled documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Manage data repositories and ensure proper storage, labeling, and access control of program data
  • Support verification and validation processes through accurate configuration tracking
  • Collaborate with engineering and program teams to ensure adherence to CM and data governance requirements
  • Generate reports on configuration status, change activity, and document control metrics
