About The Position

Iridium is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Configuration and Data Analyst III to join their team. This role is crucial for managing and overseeing configuration and data management processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance of data and configuration items (CIs) across the organization. The analyst will collaborate with various teams to drive improvements, resolve complex issues, and ensure adherence to best practices in configuration and data management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of configuration management principles, and experience with data management practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of configuration management, data management, or related fields.
  • Proficient in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Visio.
  • Knowledge or familiarity of the industry standards: MIL-HDBK-61A, MIL-STD-963C, EIA-649C, ISO9000, AS9100, DD-Form 1423, GEIA-859, DoD 5010.12-M.
  • Proven experience with configuration management activities and delivering customer deliverables on time and within scope.
  • Well-versed in configuration management methodologies, tools, and systems, including change control, version management, and baseline management.
  • Acute attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, including risk management, timeline tracking, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and lead complex projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interface with senior leadership, customers, and internal teams.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Be a US Citizen in order to comply with requirements of government contract(s) and/or COMSEC equipment that this position may directly perform work under, support, or be exposed to.
  • Be able to work in the office at least 80% of the time (4 days per week) to foster collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • An active certification in Configuration Management (e.g., CMII, ITIL, PMP) or Data Management (e.g., CDMP).
  • An active EIA-649C certification.
  • SharePoint Experience.
  • Experience with configuration management software (e.g., PDM/PLM systems) and document management tools.
  • Familiarity with contract management processes and customer-facing deliverable tracking.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO, CMMI, or similar frameworks.
  • Previous experience in leading or mentoring junior team members.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies or experience working in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform configuration and data management (CM/DM) activities in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, plans, and applicable contractual and industry requirements.
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of CM/DM plans, procedures, work instructions, and customer data deliverables.
  • Establish, identify, control, maintain, and report configuration items (CIs), product structures, versions, and hardware, software, and documentation baselines.
  • Administer CM tools and records to ensure accurate configuration status accounting, traceability, reporting, and data integrity.
  • Manage change control and facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), ensuring approved changes are documented, implemented, and verified.
  • Support planning and conduction of configuration audits, data validation, metrics analysis, and compliance reviews; identify risks and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Assist with interpretation of contracts and subcontracts to identify CM/DM requirements and establish compliant processes, tools, and customer deliverables.
  • Lead the planning, tracking, review, and delivery of contractual data items in accordance with customer requirements, quality standards, and schedules.
  • Ensure integration of CM/DM requirements throughout the product and system lifecycle, including SDLC, Agile, and ITIL environments.
  • Provide CM/DM guidance, cross-functional coordination, stakeholder reporting, and training/mentorship to junior analysts.
  • Support CM tool selection, implementation, optimization, and automation.
  • Enforce compliance with export-control requirements, including ITAR/EAR to protect intellectual property.
  • May provide additional, CM, engineering and program-management support as assigned.
