About The Position

The Configuration Change Management & Integration Engineer - TS II is responsible for ensuring aircraft designs are fully integrated across all design disciplines, manufacturing, and maintainability throughout the product lifecycle. This role implements robust Configuration and Change Management practices, maintains configuration control of assigned aircraft sections, and supports Design for Manufacturing (DFM) goals. The engineer will develop, maintain, and communicate requirements, processes, and review criteria for all phases of the design process. This position guides successful completion of major engineering programs or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.

Requirements

  • In‑depth knowledge of aircraft design principles.
  • Structural, Systems, or Electrical design experience.
  • Proficiency with CATIA V5.
  • Experience with Configuration and Change Management methodologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 10 yrs in specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SmarTeam preferred but not mandatory.
  • Siemens Teamcenter experience desired.
  • Siemens NX experience a plus.
  • Advanced degree in engineering, or related curriculum preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure aircraft designs are fully integrated across all design disciplines, manufacturing, and maintainability throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Implement robust Configuration and Change Management practices and maintain configuration control of assigned aircraft sections.
  • Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) goals, including part standardization and part‑count reduction.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate requirements, processes, and review criteria for all phases of the design process.
  • Manage installation design within assigned primary aircraft sections.
  • Coordinate integration of airframe and system installations; organize and lead planning and review meetings as needed.
  • Define interface requirements and ensure interface integrity for designated aircraft sections.
  • Conduct risk analysis for outstanding tasks and determine when review-cycle criteria have been satisfactorily met.
  • Oversee release of engineering documentation and ensure compliance with engineering and manufacturing release criteria.
  • Serve as the main interface with Gulfstream’s PLM organization for application development, tool enhancement, automation, and reporting related to Gulfstream’s change‑management systems.
  • Support continuous improvement of change‑management workflows and associated digital tools.
  • Develop automation, tools, and reporting solutions using Visual Basic, PowerBI, and SQL.
  • Create and maintain requirement documents, process documentation, and standards to support design, configuration control, and change‑management activities.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product.
