About The Position

The Maine Community College System (MCCS) is looking to fill a full-time Confidential Resource Advisor and Interpersonal Violence Awareness Educator position. This position will provide emergency and ongoing support to survivors of sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and stalking at the seven Community Colleges within the Maine Community College System. This position will serve as educator to the seven Community Colleges on matters of sexual harassment, sexual assault, interpersonal violence, stalking, and other forms of discrimination on the basis of sex in compliance with law.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five years of experience in supporting individuals who have experienced interpersonal violence or stalking.
Experience in sexual violence or domestic violence advocacy, support, and/or education.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience working with students in higher education setting.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field.
Five plus years supporting individuals who have experienced interpersonal violence or stalking.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency and ongoing support to survivors of sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and stalking at the seven Community Colleges within the Maine Community College System.
Serve as educator to the seven Community Colleges on matters of sexual harassment, sexual assault, interpersonal violence, stalking, and other forms of discrimination on the basis of sex in compliance with law.
Develop and deliver training to diverse populations.
Develop and deliver ongoing awareness campaigns related to topics of interpersonal violence or stalking.
