About The Position

As a Conference Services Manager, you will have the opportunity to create memorable experiences for guests at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. This is a highly visible role that acts as the liaison between clients and the hotel to provide detailed planning and supervision of assigned groups and events. This role will provide exceptional service for clients, planners, and vendors to help support the greater hotel operations team in providing elevated event experiences. The Conference Services Manager distributes detailed event orders, group resumes, and diagrams, oversees event planning meetings with clients, manages onsite event coordination, and approves final group billing arrangements. This position reports to the Director of Conference Services.

Requirements

• Refined verbal and written communication skills, with precise attention to detail.
• At least 2 years experience in event coordination, corporate group or social event planning required.
• Strong time management skills and organization required.
• Proven demonstration of conflict resolution, with grace under pressure to provide resolution.
• Experience in luxury environment, with priority of guest satisfaction in a fast-paced and high volume environment.
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by operational needs.

Nice To Haves

• Menu and Wine knowledge preferred.
• Delphi experience preferred.
• Experience within a hotel/resort environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform other duties and attend operational meetings, as assigned, to meet business needs.
