About The Position
Safely work with an Operations crew to move railcars during switching, yard movements, and travel to customer facilities or interchanges. Communicate professionally with customers, crew members, and railway partners to support safe operations. Represent BWRS through a strong commitment to customer service, teamwork, and operational reliability. Contribute to a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and accountability in the workplace. Observe hand and radio signals in the yard in accordance with railroad rules and regulations. Operate track switches as needed. Perform procedures required to couple/uncouple rail cars. Apply hand brakes on rail cars not in active use. Ensure proper permissions and authorities are obtained.
