Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including walking uneven terrain, climbing equipment, and lifting up to 80 pounds.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments.
Nice To Haves
- Railroad, industrial, military, construction, transportation, or mechanical experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trains and switching movements.
- Inspect equipment and ensure compliance with operating rules and FRA regulations.
- Couple and uncouple railcars, line switches, and perform switching operations.
- Communicate effectively with train crews, dispatchers, and customers.
- Operate locomotives safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine locomotive servicing and inspections.
- Read and follow train orders, bulletins, and work instructions.
- Maintain a constant focus on safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
