About The Position

Beck Construction & Excavation is looking for a dependable Concrete Worker / Finisher to join our commercial concrete crew. We're looking for someone with hands-on concrete experience who takes pride in quality work and wants to continue building their skills. Whether you're an experienced finisher or someone who has been working in concrete and is ready to take the next step, we'd like to talk with you. We primarily perform municipal concrete work throughout the Wasatch Front, with projects occasionally taking us throughout Utah. Our work includes sidewalks, curb and gutter, ADA ramps, roadways, box culverts, manholes, utility structures, and other concrete work that supports excavation and underground utility projects. Our crews work together through every phase of the job, giving employees the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills while taking pride in building quality infrastructure that lasts.

Requirements

1+ years of hands-on concrete construction experience.
Experience placing, forming, or finishing concrete.
Ability to safely use common concrete hand tools.
Willingness to learn and continue developing your finishing skills.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Nice To Haves

Valid driver's license and dependable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

Place, screed, float, edge, broom, and finish concrete.
Set and strip forms for sidewalks, curb and gutter, ADA ramps, pads, and other flatwork.
Prepare concrete pours by assisting with grading, base preparation, and layout.
Work alongside the foreman and crew to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Assist with excavation and utility work when concrete work is not scheduled.
