About The Position

Responsible for understanding standard survey practices, daily completion of work, and maintaining survey equipment. This role involves performing construction stakeout, storing stakeout data, and understanding/making changes to Revit models. The job description is subject to change and may include other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate and interface with others.
• Ability to work in a team environment is essential.
• Working on NICET certification.
• 2 years survey and/or layout experience.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
• May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
• Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Occasionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc.
• Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
• Will interact with people frequently during a shift/work day.
• Will lift, push or pull objects on an occasional basis.
• Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.

Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of plans (blueprint reading).
• Operate all survey equipment (G.P.S., total station, level, etc.).
• Perform basic survey calculations to assist the Party Chief.
• Keep construction documents up to date.
• Maintain survey equipment in proper working order.
• Keep truck fully stocked with materials.
• Perform construction stakeout and store stakeout data.
• Understand and make changes to Revit model.
